A must-needed spotlight on our much beloved Nature Kindergarten classroom pets, Waffles, Maple and Baby Hippo! Our three guinea pigs are absolutely adored by our kindergarteners! Our students love to feed and take care of them, as well as take them outside, pet and hold them. They are very friendly and have helped us understand mammals, and especially rodents, but also predator/prey relationships, empathy and how to care for God's creatures.
