National Indigenous Peoples' Day

Our PANTHERS celebrated National Indigenous Peoples Day today.

We started our day with a school wide assembly that began with a liturgy of the Word. We were then treated to a presentation by Kaeley Jade who shared stories and music with us. We were privileged to have her share her talents with us!

Some of our classes also participated in a variety of other activities to engage our students further into the teachings of Indigenous Peoples.

National Indigenous Peoples Day is part of National Indigenous History Month. This June, our students unite to honour the rich heritage, diverse cultures, and many outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people in Canada.
